Colorado Parks and Wildlife Aquatic Biologist Doug Krieger said some fish are dying [ed. in the Arkansas River watershed]. On Tuesday water was recorded at 70 degrees near Salida and Cotopaxi, while temperatures on Grape Creek ranged from 72-74. When water temperatures hit 80 degrees that’s when it becomes critical, Krieger said.
